Candied orange peels


Cut up two Orange peels into strips

Boil 3 cups of water and then add in the Orange peels.

Cook for 15 minutes, until the Orange peels are cooked.

Boil two cups of water and add in 2 cups of sugar.

Add in the cooked Orange peels and bring it back to a boil.

Simmer on medium flame for about an hour.

Take the orange peels out of the sugary liquid and place it on a baking sheet, single layer.

Coat each peel with sugar. Let it air dry for a day or two days.

You can reduce the sugary water into a syrup and use it with other recipes!  Orange cake anyone? Or you can always drizzle it on top of the Orange peels!
